Bethlemhem flowers , blooms once in a year and only at night. These delicate and beautiful flowers wither aways in 3-4 days.
Pictures taken from my mom's little gaden. We used to have a lot of variety of flowering plants. Mom and dad are great gardeners. They would'nt mind spending an entire day digging ,watering and trimming plants in the gaden. Every morning she would spend atleast 2 or 3 hours in our little garden. She would clean up, rearrange pots and water all her plants. we kids were never allowed to touch or move any of her pots n plants. She and her friends would compete in having the best flowering plants. She use to get different plants from places she used to visit.
I remember having big beautiful roses , chrysathemums, japan phools, blossoms, dhalias, Thetti poo's , Gold spots ....and many more. She also had a collection of crotons nad vegetables. Among all these we had planted two coconut trees , one on either side of house.One of them produced plenty of coconuts. we never had to buy them for years.Somehow even the cocnut water used to be very sweet. Think its the soil which gives the seetness to all the palnts.
I did not have a camera those days , miss capturing all those moments and beauty.
